Hi, we're Kelly and Amanda.

Big Hollow Kitchen was born on a dirt road in Starksboro, Vermont, and it's named after the place we call home. We're married, obsessed with breakfast, and lucky enough to live five minutes from some of the best farms in Addison County. It's their vegetables, meat, cheese, and eggs that end up on your plate.

Amanda is a registered dietitian nutritionist who has spent her career close to food working on farms, developing recipes, and shaping food policy. Kelly has been cooking at farm pop-ups and outdoor events for years, not as a career, just because feeding people is one of her favorite things to do. Put us together and you get Big Hollow Kitchen!

Our first season

You can find us every Saturday at the Shelburne Farmers Market, select Sundays at the Stowe Farmers Market, and at a growing list of wedding mornings we're honored to be part of. Every English muffin is still made by hand in our kitchen on Big Hollow Road, using a 24-hour recipe that yields the fluffiest, most flavorable result.

Why we do this

We do farmers markets because we love our community and the people growing food in it. We do wedding breakfasts (and bachelor/ettes, and bridal showers!) because we love love, and we think everyone deserves a hot meal on the morning of the best day of their life.
